The hotel was a decent base for enjoying a good area, near to shops and attractions. We loved the suite which was well-appointed and reasonably large with a lovely view.

Really amazing overall experience. Nice hotel located just next door to Taupõ town centre and shops and attractions. Pretty friendly and amicable staffs, gave a few recommendations. Brand-new, well-appointed room and well priced with different pictures, 3 single beds plus a lovely view. A wide array of goodies for breakfast. Fantastic and unbeatable location to Lake Taupo. Also, close to the city center.

We didn't have time, but we can't wait to come back. The location was particularly good and beautiful, close to Hot Water spring. Excellent restaurant provided Thai dishes.

Good sized room, a shower and shampoo in the room. Easy to get to, favourable location short walk to the restaurant on premises.

Polite staff and well-appointed rooms, we had a fairly nice experience. The hotel was placed in the very central location to the bars. Also, Lake Taupo was 2 miles away.

The room was good-sized and equipped with bed after a long trip, a lovely view, different pictures as described. Had a shower and shampoo in the bathroom. All the staff were amicable, efficient. Good and perfect location, it was just next door to the Lake and main road, and the restaurant on premises.

The location of the hotel is great, with easy access to the spa pools and amazing views of the lake. The ample free parking is a plus. The room had comfortable bedding, clean rooms, and good lighting. The breakfast was delicious.

The mattress and pillows were uncomfortable, which affected the quality of sleep.

I got great value for my money at Lakeland Resort. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the location near Lake Taupo offered stunning views. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service throughout my stay.

The morning meal could be improved with more variety and options.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and maintained daily with fresh linen. All rooms were equipped with fridge, kettle and tea and coffee. The view from our room across Lake Taupo was magnificent, especially at night. The hotel was within driving distance to Taupo township, but a bit too far to walk. Taupo is an ideal base to stay at for numerous activities in and around the area.

While the views from the room were magnificent, the rooms were very basic and not at all how they were advertised - they are more suited to higher end budget accommodation than the advertised "studio" apartment. There was no buffet breakfast, despite paying for it at time of booking, as guest numbers requiring breakfast were too low for the hotel to put it on. Breakfast was provided, though, from the menu.
